Hi, 4 years ago my father's tongue got cut a little bit when he was eating and then bleeding started. He consulted any doctors but nothing happened. After some days the cut point became white and a sore developed. He went for biopsy and everything became alright. He was healthy and now the white patch like sore has again come out. He again consulted a doctor and the doctor said nothing to worry but prescribed him two tablets namely Turmix and Lycopene. When I searched about the pills on internet it showed that Turmix is for oral cancer but Lycopene is not for oral. My father is now in tension whether to take it or not as doctor said nothing to worry but prescribed these tablets. What should he do now? Please suggest me!

Doctor might have suspected leucoplakia which is a precancerous lesion of cavity. Initial treatment is high dose vitamin and antioxidants as your doctor suggested. Stop tobacco use if he was regular user. After one month medication will check again for the white patch and then decision.
