I have obsessions. I am using antidepressants now for that disorder as per doctor suggestion. My question is can I drink vine like monthly once? Is that a problem if I drink vine (alcohol) sometimes while in treatment?

Dear User, Drinking alcohol while on antidepressants is not advisable. As it may cause drowsiness, sleepiness. It may also affect thinking process and alertness. In addition, using alcohol in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder may for time being reduces the unwanted thoughts, this may make person to take it again and again. Repeated urge of taking alcohol and not able to avoid such urge may be part of Obsession/Compulsion. This is vicious cycle. It means drinking alcohol while on medicines or not on medicines is not advisable. Hope this helps you.
