I am a 22 year old, male, I have been diagnosed with over thinking, depression and I am taking medicine (depran h, cobas,olaway 2.5DT) my question is by what duration my depression will be totally treated? Or is depression not treatable? Should I have to take medicine overall my lifetime?

Dear Vidit, There are many different types of depressive disorders. Some of them like dysthymias are life long ones needing life long treatment. Some of them are recurrent ones like bipolar depression needing life long mood stabilisers, if they are too severe or too often. Some of them like mixed anxiety depressive disorders come with lot of anxiety needing anxiolytics. Some of them come with psychotic features needing an antipsychotic in addition. Overthinking and depression are your symptoms. The diagnosis will be made by the doctor. Discuss with the doctor about the diagnosis and the duration of treatment once you recover.
