Hi, My father was prescribed prednisolone 8 m for Leukoplakia 5 days back, after 4 days taking steroids, he developed frequency of micturition and diverticulitis, for this admitted to hospital. After next day of admission he temporary LOC for 20 second ,admitted to ICU where on investigations sodium was 108 mmol/L.IV sodium was given. Symptoms were corrected. But neurologist prescribed him Levipil 500 mg and Rivotril 0.5 mg for 7 days. Took 7 days course, now on follow up both drugs Stopped by Dr. MRI showed Multiple old healed small infarct, rest investigations including EEG Normal. He is borderline diabetic HBA1C 7.12 and hypertensive My query 1 do he need to continue Levipil 500? My query 2 Any other medication.
