I am having bp around 142/88. Is it normal to carry out moving jobs. Please suggest some food or remedy to lower in home. I also want to know that at such BP is it possible to go for walk in the evening.

Dear lybrateuser, - You can carry out all your jobs with your BP level - exercise is very beneficial, you can go for a walk - have a salt restricted diet, avoid fried, processed and junk foods, also avoid pickles, papads & namkeens - have more of fibre containing foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains instead of refined ones, legumes, sprouts, a handful of unsalted, mixed nuts, have low fat milk & dairy, have healthy fats as in fish, olive & canola oil for cooking, avocados, flax & sesame seeds - do regular exercise - sleep well for at least 7-8 hrs at night, keep your sleep & wake up time fixed -destress by doing yoga, meditation & deep breathing - reduce weight if overweight - monitor BP regularly.
