My son fell from cycle last to last friday (12th Oct) he was the skin just bellow his knee bone was torn a little bit when visited the doctor on the day of accident he first gave me injection of TT & after cleaning the dirt on my wound dressed with gauze swab & betadine ointment injured area & told to remove & dress again every 2-3 days now he is out of town but my mom bought the swab, ointment & surgical tape & she does the dressing in my injured area but when I try to remove the swab at night the swab sticks to my wound & hurts very much so doctor please tell me what to put on my wound so that the swab doesn't stick? Even my doctor used to put a square thing on my wound so that the swab doesn't stick. Can you pls tell me what it is?

That square thing is netted gauze which you can use while dressing. That won't stick to the wound as Cotton gauze does.

That is very comman whenever you remove the swab first wet the swab by clean water or put the running water on swab than remove swab after 2 min, it never stick, when you dressed up use more quantity of ointment wound healing on joint or near joint took more time as compared to other site so do not worry have patience.
