I am suffering from thyroid last 10 months presently taking 75 mg for 6 days 150 mg for 1 day can I stop allopathy medicine and start homeopathy or I have to continue with both or can from homeopathy it can be cured permanently or not?

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Hypothyroidism is a a condition where your thyroid gland is unable to produce adequate thyroxine or it may not be producing at all. Thyroxine is an essential hormone for day to day fuctioning of various metabolic activities and for maintaining body temperature, plus many other vital functions. So the only treatment is to supplement thyroxine by taking Levothyroxine in adequate quantity. TSH shoud be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, for being free from all the symptoms. In homeopathy there is NO TREATMENT for this. Therefore, you will have to continue taking required quantity for lifetime. Thanks.
