I am 27 years old. I have front teeth diastema. I have used braces before 8 years ago. But it did not close gap between front teeth. please suggest suitable method to close the gap.

Hi lybrate-user, I can understand your disappointment. Despite having to wear braces for 8 years, you still have what is termed as 'Midline Diastema. I hope that you followed your orthodontist's advice and wore the retainer as it was asked. However, you can get your gap closed by non-orthodontic methods as well. There are numerous new techniques available in India and France that I will be happy to share with you over a private consultation. Hello Mam, you may opt for braces to close the gap or you may opt for cosmetic dentistry where laminate and crowns are used to close the gap.
