Hi lybrate-user, you are a engineering graduate n preparing for govt job, are you really interested in pursuing what you r practicing. See wht I can read from your question is that you are not able to concentrate on your studies in this condition, so first think clearly then proceed. Life becomes monotonous when you keep doing one thing for a long time and do not get desired results. Think properly if you still want to pursue your career in government jobs start preparing freshly. That is to say take a break of few days go meet your family n frns or anywhere you wish to then return with energy to start studying in a different mode or way seek help from different experts. 2nd and most importantly if you find yourself that you are not interested only or still not sure. Find a job you r an engineering graduate find work accordingly. Work for sometime if you enjoy and grow you will not feel lonely. Meet people from your industry (ur fellow students, seniors, professor s) talking to them will help you grow and your feeling of loneliness will also vanish. It's important to take life seriously at your age but do not run in rat race you might be very successful as an engineer or something else, don't take so much load that it starts hurting you and your decision making capacities. Take small baby steps don't burden yourself, make new like-minded friends, exercise, make a healthy routine. Take care.
