I am 40. Female. I have thyroid as well as diabetic. Can you suggest a diet chart. Millets are good for diabetic but bad for thyroid. My thyroid level is18. Please advice.

Hello, Since you have hypothyroidism, it is not advisable to take millets. But you can always use whole grain flour for roti and chapati and use unpolished or less polished rice. Plus increase the intake of green leafy vegetables and salads. TSH level should be maintained between 3 to 4 mU/L. Then only all the symptoms are in check. As regards blood glucose fasting glucose should be < 100 mg or closerr to 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. Diet control with restricted caloric intake and normal weight maintenance is very much needed. Thanks.
