I had a unprotected sex with unknown girl. I tested rna pcr qualitative test after 7 days. The result came negative. After 17 days from exposure again I tested p24 antigen and antibody elfa and elisa tests, both came negative .please suggest is this results can be accurate.

Hello lybrate-user, the first test of HIV RNA PCR on 7th day may be too early to give conclusive results, The second test of P24 Antigen and HIV antibody test on 17th day is also early to be conclusive. HIV DUO (COMBO) TEST OF P24 ANTIGEN AND HIV 1 & 2 ANTIBODY (4TH GENERATION TEST) IS CONCLUSIVE AT THE END OF 4 TO 6 WEEKS.
