Hello doctor, 5 years ago I went for a facial in a local salon. He used a blackhead remover to pop blackheads and pimples and its involves bleeding. And im sure he does not clean the instrument. And exactly after 3 months I had hiv symptoms like swollen lymph nodes all over body, fever ,fatigue etc Can I get hiv or syphilis or any other blood borne disease. Please help I am very scared.

Hello. Its been 5 years by now as you. Did you get yourself tested at that time or anytime after the first symptoms? What symptoms and signs you have now to worry. Yes ,technically chances of getting infection from unhygenic and unsterlised instruments is there and can cause blood borne infections.
