I am diagnosed with otosclerosis and was suggested to undergo stapedectomy on 24th of this month. Since I am a thyroid patient I got it done yesterday and my reports show that TSH 9.96. Is it still safe to undergo the surgery?

Hello, Thanks for the query. Madam you can get the surgery done for your ear related problem. But it is also necessary to take treatment for hypothyroidism with adequate dose of Levothyroxine. TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L. Thanks.
