From few months I have menstrual cramps during ovulation (12 to 19th day) bloody discharge (a drop?) too comes at that time. Is it normal? Why this happens?

Yes, it is normal to have cramps during ovulation (12 to 19th day) bloody discharge. The cramps happen as part of hormonal changes and the breakage of ovum During your menstrual period, your uterus contracts to help expel its lining. Hormonelike substances (prostaglandins) involved in pain and inflammation trigger the uterine muscle contractions. Higher levels of prostaglandins are associated with more-severe menstrual cramps
