Rosuvastatin is a medicine for dyslipidemias and not for hypertension. Consult your prescribing doctor for the reason it was started. In patients with coronary artery diseases and diabetes usually life long some lipid lowering drug is required. The dose and the actual drug can be modified depending upon certain parameters. Visit your cardiologist or endocrinologist for the same.
