My fasting sugar on 3 feb was 106 and on 4th, 122. I take 1350 mg metformin, vitamin e, rosuvastatin 10 mg, thyroxine 75 mg. My heart rate is average 90 and bp 113/69. Why there is variation in my glucose level? Do I need to continue to take metformin? I taking coversyl 4 mg, since my bp is in control .lower level can I stop the drug?

You should continue metformin and monitor fasting and pp blood sugar both to adjust the dose.

Mr Sudhir, Thanks for the query. Please let me know when was diabetes diagnosed and what were the glucose levels when diagnosis was made? Now what is the PP glucose value and HbA1c%? Similarly what is the TSH value? As regards the variation in fasting glucose levels those are bound to occur because food intake every day varies and hence conversion to glucose also is different. Thanks.
