I am 52 years old female I have hypothyroidism prob since 2004 n I am taking 100 mg eltroxin tab daily in morning before breakfast! so I want to know is it right? N after tab when I take breakfast? After how much mins or hours?

Hello, Thanks for the query. Madam I have seen the details given. from that I understand that you are taking 100 mcg, levothyroxine daily. But there is no mention of current or recent TSH levels. Without knowing that it is difficult comment. Ideally when dosage is adequate TSH is maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, at which all the symptoms are in check. Thyroxine tablets have to be taken early morning on empty stomach and nothing should be taken after that for at least 1 to 1 and half hour. Thanks.
