I have a pilonidal sinus, the pain is manageable by taking baths everyday. I cannot get it treated immediately because of some crucial work. Is it possible to wait for 3 months and then go for the treatment. Please there is little to no discharge now, initially it was a massive and often gave me dizziness. Kindly suggest for the same.

Yes you can wait but it's clear that pilonidal sinus only curable by surgical or ksharsutra treatment.

If pus discharge is not there then there are chances that after some time pus will accumulate and sinus might go deeper and become bigger. So as long as there is no swelling and no pus accumulation; there is no urgency. If swelling appears then you should plan for treatment on urgent basis. Usually surgery is advised for pilonidal sinus. But it is not a good choice for the reason of recurrence of problem after surgery. However pilonidal sinus can be completely treated without surgery by graded ksharsutra treatment. No hospitalization or bed rest is required in this treatment. You can continue your normal routine activities as usual during this treatment. For further support; you may call reception at sushruta ano rectal institute.
