Choice of trearment is depending upon the situation. Preserving a tooth is good but if situation warrants extraction then root canal is of no use.

In most of the cases we recommend extraction for wisdom tooth. But sometimes it depends on the positioning of the tooth. If it is carious then better go for extraction.

As far as wisdom tooth s concerned, it s always better to extract it since it s a rudimentary just like appendix (hardly plays any role in mastication) but, if, an opppsing teeth is present in the same arch, one should consider r. C. T preferrably.
