I am 19 years old and my t3 level is 1.11 and t4 level is 4.44 and tsh level is 31.43.doctor has prescribed thyromon 100 tablet and d-vita 60k tablet and supradyn tablet. Is it ok with my age? And will my tsh level get normal?

lybrate-use, Hypothyroidism can occur at any age. It is a bit more common in females compared to males. Since it is a deficiency disease, where your thyroid gland is not producing adequate quantity of thyroxine, it has to be supplemented form outside on day to day basis. Dosage can go up to 200 mcg or more. So the dose prescribed is fine. Most important is to see that tsh is maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l with your current treatment. For that you will have to check tsh after 6 to 8 weeks of starting the treatment. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
