Hello doctor, I have diabetes since last 10 years. Present reading is fasting 136, pp 186 and hba1c is 6.9. (it was 8 three months back and 7.5 for last two years). Taking cyblex m40 half in morning. Janumet 50/500 at night. Diet. Morning 10 almonds. 1 spoon methi powder. Breakfast 2 ragi chapati, vegetables. Mid morning one apple. Lunch 2 ragi chapati, vegetables, salad. Mid evening poha one plate. 5 pm. Dinner salad, dal and vegetables. No carbs at dinner I am not taking any dairy products. Weight 69 kg reduced to kg in two months. Feeling week during day time. I am very hungry while getting up. Mu question i'd do I need to reduce medicine dose? Please advice. Thanks.

Your blood sugar is already towards the higher side which will increase further if medicines are reduced. Please increase your physical activity. Get your thyroid profile test done and consult your physician.

Mr Vishnu, Thanks for the query. Ideally when diabetes is well controlled fasting glucose should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. If one maintains this kind of levels then there will be hardly any symptoms or tiredness and excess hunger. Since your control is fairly good, (not the ideal) I do not see the reason to reduce the dosage. Thanks.
