My 3 month old son has recurring conjunctivitis for the past one month. Antibiotic drops toba twice for 5 days and ciplox for 10 days have been given. Massage for lachrymal glands have been done. As long as medicine is given there is no white or green discharge. But a few days after we stop the medicine the discharge resumes. Please advise what should we do here. We are based out of mumbai.

Hello. There might be a component of old blockage in your son. Massage is very imping in it. Massage daily for at least 20 times daily from up to down along the path of sac. Rule out any other infection in adnexae. This takes some time to resolve.

Massage has to be done regularly and properly till 6 mths of age. Drops must b given if there's discharge. Try to treat nasal congestion as well.
