Hello, thanks for the query. Madam when treatment was initiated what was the tsh level? Because tsh between 6 to 9.9 mu/l is considered as sub-clinical hypothyroidism. Usually no treatment is advocated at that level. However, if the person has presence of troublesome symptoms even with that level then treatment is initiated. Secondly reducing or increasing the dose should be done gradually. Ideally tsh should be maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l, at which most of the symptoms are in check. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
