Report
I have multiple ulcer in terminal ileum. Biopsy taken and the report is section show small intestinal mucosa with inflammation. Lamina propria is mildly edematous and show moderate inflammatory infiltrate composed of lymphocytes, occasional plasma cells and histiocytes. No granuloma and dysplasia seen. I feared about occasional histiocyte finding. Does ulcer have histiocye. Or its histiocytosis. I am scared.

The report says occasional histiocytes and there is no need to fear about cancer or fatal disease in medicine, a histiocytosis is an excessive number of histiocytes (tissue macrophages), and the term is also often used to refer to a group of rare diseases which share this sign as a characteristic.
