I am suffering with diabetic since last years, I am now 50+,living in rourkela, odisha.i did my blood test from thyrocare on 24/04/19. I found my t4=3.1,egfr=84, bun=6.66,creatinine: 1.03, my prostate slightly enlarged, residual urine observed as 26 ml. Taking medicine as insulin, pantop 40, telma 40, metpure xl 25, vitamin tab, zapiz .05, flokindplus ,lipicard 160 etc. Please advice me, if my kidney is effected? I am feeling slight pain in lower portion of stomach. Is it a pre symptom of any kidney? please advice me what medicine I would take for kidney? There is no nephrologist in our city ,rourkela. Please advice me sir, I will be ever grateful to you.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details, there is absolutely no information of actual blood glucose levels, (fasting & pp), hba1c%, bp readings & lipid profile, diet and extent of exercise. So difficult to comment. However, in a person with diabetes kidney damage is usually because of uncontrolled high glucose level and not because of drugs. Thanks.

Your kidney function tests like bun, creatinine are normal. Keep your blood sugar controlled, and consult a physician for lower abdominal pain.
