Dr. give me amit 10 mg and said take half in a day. But now l am out of the country I have esipram 5. can I replace amit with esipram?

Hello amit (amitriptyline) is a different class of drug (tricyclic antidepressant) compared to espiram (escitalopram is a ssri antidepressant). So esipram is not a direct replacement for it and it is not recommended to take one for another. Please checks with your prescribing doctor as well.
