I would suggest cleaning of the eyelids with dilute baby shampoo twice a day along with wraparound protective eye wear when going outdoors even in vehicles. Cold compresses and oral anti allergic as well as ointment already in use can be continued for a couple of weeks-however long term use of steroid ointment can result in serious side effects and should be avoided simultaneous use of lubricant drops can also help.
