I am 19 year old. When I got my periods I at least bleed for 10-12 days. From 5th-10th day I bleed heavily. This condition is difficult when I go to college. What should I do?

Hello, it is suggested that you rule out pcod first and if ruled out then you may require to be place on low dose oc pills for next 3 months to re-stabilise your hormones.

Hi. Bleeding this much is not normal. You will lose a lot of hemoglobin because of it. There are a lot of conditions which causes this problem like thyroid disorder, anovulation, bleeding disorder, uterine problems. Better consult a gynecologist as soon as possible. Do basic blood teat and a scan where we will get an idea. I would highly recommend you to get treated soon.
