Dear Dr. I am anil saraf age 59 suffering diabetes since 2010 I am taking glyciphage 500 plain after taking lunch and dinner and before breakfast general 1 mg. My concern is that fasting morning sugar is normal i.e.105 but after taking lunch it shows 180-200. Please. Suggest how it come down sugar level. Regards anil saraf.

Dear Mr. lybrate-user, you need to cut down the carbs and calories in your breakfast, thereby your post-prandial sugar will improve. If that does not workout, you can consult your treating physician to increase the dosage of your medications.

You need to cut down your calory intake at lunch but if are doing it already then discuss with your treating doctor who will add some other medicine.
