After having thyronorm 50 mcg medicine for one month my thyroid hormone tsh= 0.406, t3=4.21 and t4=1.75.can I plan for pregnancy now?

Yes,you can plan but reduce the dose of thyronorm to keep TSH around 2.Discuss with your treating doctor.

Hello, Thanks for the query. With TSH in good control, you can definitely plan for having a baby. But please remeber throughout the gestational period you will have to maintain TSH around 2 mU/L. Plus thyroid functions should be checked every 4 weeks, till completion of pregnancy. Usually with pregnancy setting in dosage of Levothyroxine needs to be increased.
