I had two stents and four balloons inserted in angioplasty done 2 1/2 months back. My bp was around 125/70 till a week back. Suddenly now it has gone up to 160/80 during last few days. I was on aplevant. 75 for my diabetes while in hospital and was advised to continue it for 4 more cycles of 15 days each after discharge and then continue with metformin 500 which was my normal diabetes treatment regime. Is there any serious issues with my heart. I am 77 years old.

You have not mentioned your bp before angioplasty. 160/80 is now because you are gradually resuming your activities. Anyway it is not very high for your age. Consult your cardiologist who will prescribe some medicine if it remains persistently high.
