My thyroid is 5 and i?m on medicine thyronorm 100 mg. Once last checked thyroid was 1, so doctor advised 100 mg and now it?s 5. Feeling very low these days and bones are paining like anything.

Please get your serum vit D which may be low and causing bone. Slight increase in the dose of thyronorm may be considered.Discuss with your doctor.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Please let me know when treatment was advised what was the TSH level? What do you mean by " Once last checked thyroid was 1, so doctor advised 100 mg" Because why would a doctor advise 100 mcg of thyroxine with TSH being 1 mU/L? When one has hypothyroidism (TSH has to be above 10 mU/L or there may be high Anti TPO Antibodies), then only treatment is started. With correct dosage, TSH is maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, at which level almost all the symptoms are in check. Thanks.
