My doctor says I am already eating what he typically recommends and I am almost highest dosage of medication. I am not willing to go on insulin knowing it has several complications and also I have fobia of needle. Can someone please guide what can be of help?

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have gone through the details and understand your concern. Before I can make any comments following are my observations : 1) There is no mention of actual dosage & names of medications being taken. 2)HbA1c% of 9.2% is too high. showing improper control. 3)No details on dietary pattern. 4)No information on lipid profile and BP readings. Another important aspect that has a major negative role on glucose control is your BMI. With a BMI of 29.72 kgs /sq meter (normal < 23 kgs/Sq meter), which means there is an excess of 24 to 25 kgs. This is the major hindrance for achieving better glucose control. Hence there is a need to give a closer look at your diet and increase the exercise and work on reducing weight. Thanks.
