Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. TSH 10.93 mU/L confirms presence of hypothyroidism. Hence, he needs to take Levothyroxine. But the dosage suggested is not adequate. It has to be 25 mcg or 50 mcg per day. Then TSH should be checked after 6 to 8 weeks, to see if desired level(between 3 to 4 mU/L) is reached, at which all the symptoms are in control. Secondly HbA1c% 6.6 % suggests he has diabetes. There is no mention about whether he is on treatment or not. It is also necessary to know fasting and PP glucose levels as well as lipid profile and BP readings. If you have any questions please do come back. I hope he is aware about taking the tablet early morning on empty stomach and nothing to be taken for at least 1 hour after that. Plus avoid soy beans and soy containing foods. Should consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Avoid all bakery items and pastries, colas and alcohol. Also no smoking. He should exercise for at least 1 hour a day. Thanks.
