Respected sir/madam I am taking thyroid medication for past 10 years I am taking eltroxin 75 daily two days back I had thyroid testing my tsh level is. 002my free t3 and t4 level are normal guide me what can be done further thank you.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details. Since you are having hypothyroidism for over 10 years, i am sure you must be aware that when one is on adequate dose of Levothyroxine TSH is maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L at which level most of the symptoms are in check. Since TSH level is 0.002 mU/L, it is very low, going towards hyperthyroidism. Hence, you need to cut down the dose by 12.5 to 25 mcg per day. Then check TSH again after 6 weeks to see if the desired level is reached. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks
