Sir, I am suffering type 2 diabetic. Sugar level is fasting 142. Post lunch 192. Im using glycomet gp1 at breakfast time daily one time. Is ok. Or .take glycomet 500 sr daily 2 times morning & dinner time. Is ok .pls reply me sir.

Your blood sugar is not controlled acceptably. Suggestion can be given after your clinical evaluation. Better to discuss with your treating physician who knows your clinical profile. There is sinificant difference in two tablets. Glycomet gp1 contains 3 medicines while glycomet sr 500 contains only one. Metformin is common in both.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Your fasting glucose is definitely fairly high. Even PP should be lower. Ideally fasting glucose should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg & PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% (not mentioned) < 6.8%. You may increase the dose. However, to give any specific suggestions I need to know weight, height, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, lipid profile and BP readings. Thanks.
