I have thyroid problem and was using thyronorm 88 mcg then my tsh was in control. Then I was prescribed to use 50 mcg. After one month I was reported that my tsh was above the range. Then after I was prescribed again to use 75 mcg which I am using now since one month. Because of these changes my period was skipped last month and I didn't get my menses yet. What I have to do now? Can I go back to 88 mcg or continue 75?

No, continue with 75. Is there any chance of pregnancy. If yes then you need to do urine pregnancy test. It should be done 10 days after missing your period. For example if your date was 10th, then do the test on 20th. Before that it can give false negative or false positive test. If no then get your thyroid profile, cbc, blood sugar fasting checked from some lab.If everything is normal then do an ultrasound of abdomen. For more details you can consult me.

Please avoid testing for tsh too frequently and do not change dose very frequently. Do not be panicked continue 75 and get tsh test fone after 6 weeks and inform if needed.

Hello, Thanks for the query. When one is on adequate dosage of Levothyroxine, TSH is maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, at which level all the symptoms are in check. In the details given there is no mention of actual TSH levels, so difficult to comment further. Always specific levels are needed to give any suggestions. Another important aspect is one should not change the dosage repeatedly. Thanks.
