I am diabetic, 37 years old, doctor suggested glycomet sr 500 mg tablet after dinner every day, as I feel that 500 mg seems higher dose, can I possible reduce to 250 mg plain instead of 500 mg sr? Please advise.

Your doctor has suggested dose based on several factors but if if you feel it is higher dose you can take the dose as you think better for you but monitor your blood sugar regularly, stick to diabetic diet and exercise regularly.
