I am currently on vinlep 300 at night after dinner. Previously was on valparin chrono 200 at night after dinner. I have been diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 8-9 years of age. When previously we tried to stop medication I started getting seizures again. While on medicine i?m fine but when we try to stop it seizures come back. And is it possible that after so many years on anti epileptic medication I have become addictive? Also I was prematurely born (7th month)

You should continue your anti epileptics, if seizure recurs after stopping the medication. If someone is seizure free for more than 3 years, and patient has no cognitive impairments with normal mri brain and normal eeg, then we consider tapering the dose of anti epileptics.
