I am 23 year old I have anxiety from last 25 days Dr. Gave me sylkam 0.5 for 10 days. After 10 days Dr. gave me again 10 tab and told me when you feel anxious take 1 tab but I am taking it everyday I can't stop it. Is I am addicted?

Kindly note that benzodiazepines are to be taken when necessary mainly to ensure that dependence doesn't develop. Along with sylkam, your psychiatrist may have prescribed a regular medication for you to take to overcome anxiety while you use sylkam when necessary. Please re-visit your psychiatrist and discuss in specific about the regular anti-anxiety medication such as ssris to see if the dose can be increased or if it needs to be changed.
