I take bupropion xl 150 mg tablet for my depression and mood issues. Recently I started feeling a bit low again hence my doctor upped the dosage to 300 mg, but that only increased anxiety and I could not get any therapeutic benefits of increased dosage. Thus my doctor again decreased the dose to 150 mg after 3 weeks my psychiatrist want me to add brintellix 10 mg tablet along with bupropion (since a lot of antidepressant did not work on me) so is there any interaction between bupropion xl 150 and brintellix 10 mg (vortioxetine). Can the both be taken together. Asking for informative purpose only. Thanks. I take therapy as well.

Take medicine as per the advice given by the doctor. Along with medicine, understand the cause of depression. There are psychological, biological and social causes. Psychological cause: according to one theory, the depression is caused by repeated hopelessness which we had experienced since childhood and now also we remain hopeless due to the past habit. So find out ways to remain happy, hopeful. Biological cause: take time to go for morning walk along with sunrise and take enough nutritious food. Social cause: deal with people and situation with positive outlook, good wishes and good feelings. And keep yourself active which is again more important. Wish you all the best.

Birntellix is a newer molecule and less drug interaction data is available for the same. But it is said to be very safe one. So you can take if prescribed by your psychiatrist. Good luck.
