Betadine mouthwash is safe for daily usage but not a preventive measure for cavity. For cavity prevention :- brush teeth well especially during night rinse after meals cut down sweet intake you may use anticavity toothpastes like colgate cavity protection, pepsodent germ protection. Avoid carbonated drinks and alcohol use dental floss between tight contacts and interdental brush between medium contacts of teeth especially after consuming fibrous foods like cucumber, mango, papaya and then rinse.

It ok to use betadine gargle as a preventive measure from covid 19 corona virus. It prevents the virus from entering the lungs. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Hi, using betadime mouth wash regularly is not indicated unless. Directed by the doctor. Brushing regularly and rinsing your mouth often after eating can do much wonders in reducing cavity. So ,limit the use of betadine mouthwash. And getting urself checked with dentist will do much.

It will be better if you use hydrogen provide mouth wash for not more than 15 days. Than 5 days internal. Or salone gargals.

no need of betadine gargle unless you have gone for extraction or any other minor surgical cut..
keep brushing twice a day with proper 5echnique plus you can also a chlorohexidine mouth wash for some time

Hi lybrate-user. Betadine won't help you in preventing formation of cavities. Best way is to proper brushing of teeth, flossing after meals and rinsing with water at the end. Though some mouthwashes are available as caries preventive, maintaining proper oral hygiene through above mentioned methods is the best way to prevent caries.

Hey there, yes you can gargle with betadine oral solution as a precautionary method only. It is not a preventive method, you need to wear your mask and use sanitiser and maintain social distancing and drink lots of water and eat healthy. Gargle alternately with betadine oral solution and warm saline water.
