Are pantothenic acid and calcium pantothenate same or different? Earlier I was using pantothenic acid for acne, but due to its unavailability I found calcium pantothenate in drug store. Please tell me are both same and work similar for acne or not?

no use... treatment depends on the grade...Acne or pimples... Due to hormonal changes..Oily skin causes it...Common in adolescent age...May occur in adults also.. Hello pantothenic acid is basically a form of vitamin b present naturally in many food. Calcium pantothenate is again another form of same thing that we take through several nutritional supplements. Now coming to it's use in pimples. There are several studies that mentions it's usefulness in decreasing pimples. Both of them does help. But today there are several treatment options with better results than pantothenic acids.
