Hi, I had pimple problem since one year. My age is 25. Doctor suggested me doxycycline tablet for 3 months and epiduo gel. I have used continues for 3 month. The pimples reduce for some level. But still I am getting at least 2-3 pimples per week. Do doxycycline need to continue? How many days does doxycycline takes to work on pimples. If there is any suggestions please let me know. I completed 3 month course it's been 1 week.

If even after 3 months you are getting pimple then we can shift to another good medicine for pimple which will reduce your pimple drastically and also once you use it it will have long lasting result. Doxycycline takes about 5 to 7 days to take effect. We can do lot of things for acne. I can tell you more after looking at your photo. Plus I also need to know what you are applying other than epiduo. Home remedies any if you are doing. Any parlor treatment. I have to take everything in consideration than we can make a good treatment plan for you.

Hello regarding pimple treatment, you need to understand many things. Why does it occur, what are treatment options, how long to take treatment, what if you stop treatment and what we i'll happen if you do not take treatment at all. In short, I can tell you pimple treatment should be taken continuously for minimum of 6 months that too depends on what sort of pimples you have. I repeat. This is minimum duration. If you stop treatment in between or before or if the basic cause of pimple has not been taken care of there are high chances it will come back. So get a consultation done at the earliest with proper assessment.
