Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details. The blood glucose levels mentioned are quite good, which shows good glycemic control. However, there is no information on : HbA1c%, serum creatinine, urea, microalbuminuria, lipid profile, dietary pattern, extent of daily physical activity (exercises being done) and BP readings. Usually with good glucose control and regular exercise appetite does improve and weight invariably stabilises. So please come back with all the necessary information so that I am able to understand correctly and may then I will be able to give some suggestions. Thanks

Dear, as far as weight loss is concern, tab oxra controls blood sugar levels as well as has effects with weight loss. I am not sure about eternex 10/50. Please recheck that medicine again, as long as in my knowledge there is no such combination available. If it contains teneligliptin, then we can justify is loss of appetite. Please rule out this thing, before adding one more medicine to the list. You can contact me on this platform for detailed consultation. Take care.

Hello. Your cousin's symptoms can be explained by the diabetic medications. Oxra causes weight loss, upto 2-4 kg on an average, though it can cause more weight loss also. However it is better to rule out other causes of weight loss and loss of appetite before attributing them to medicines. Kindly consult you doctor and get evaluated properly. Thank you.
