Your father have hypertension. Hypertension over long term can cause secondary complications. You should get some workup done atleast once a year. Cbc, rft, rbs, ecg, echo, fundus, these are some bare minimum. If you had it done you can send me the reports, I will review. Now for treatment, telmisartan is really good drug. And there is no problem taking all the mentioned drug together from drug interaction point of view. But his rft needs to be checked up before that.
