Sir my thyroid test is t3 and t4 is normal but tsh is very high as maximum limit is 4.5 but test report is 61.90 tsh. I am taking a 25 mg thyrox tablet .any other medicine to control the tsh level.

Mr Satish, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details. TSH 61..9 mU/L is suggestive of uncontrolled hypothyroidism. Which means the present dosage is too inadequate. You will have to increase it by 50 mcg to 75 mcg per day. Then check TSH after 6 weeks to see if it has come down to the expected level of 3 to 4 mU/L. There is no other medication. Correct dosge of Levothyroxine is the need. Thanks.

The dose as per your body weight is 100 mcg. It has to be taken on empty stomach. Avoid iron, calcium and antacids in the morning. After taking the levothyroxine tablet, you are not supposed to take tea, food for 1 hour and coffee /milk for 4 hours.
