You have not mentioned age of your mother and any other ailment specially cardiac.Because high dose of thyroid supplement may increase the metabolism and thereby heart rate and if cardiac status is compromized it may harm the person.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Since she has definite hypothyroidism (TSH25 mU/L), there is a need to start treatment with Levothyroxine. However, without knowing her age, weight, height I am not in position to give any suggestions. Because the dosage of Levothyroxine needs to be properly calculated based on age, height and weight plus T4 levels. You may start the treatment as suggested then check TSH again after 6 weeks to see if desired level is achieved (TSH 3 to 4 mU?L), as that level most of the symptoms are taken care of. Thanks.
