It's better to visit any nearest eye clinic for your current situation as you r on and off steroid and antibiotic drop so it's difficult to recommend drops without actually seeing you or if you r unable to access local eye clinics then atleast go for video consultation with me will try to figure out something.

You must be having viral conjunctivitis or some allergic reaction. I think it is better to stop all medications except lubrex. Continue lubrex about five or six times daily for one week. Do not rub the eyes. Give adequate rest to the eyes.

Hi. Actually application of gel itself leads to mild blurring of vision. More over in my view use if that gel and vigamox are not useful in this conjunctivitis. Usually the most common type of conjunctivitis is adenoviralconjunctivitis. Antivirals usually don't work for it. It's the immune mediated response causing the symptoms. If you neglect the immune mediated response it can cause development of small spots on your cornea which leads to blurring of vision permanently. You need to start steroids and lubricants instead of those gel. Can you send picture of your eye so that based on the severity I can advise you the type of steroid.

It would be a good idea to consult with your eye doctor again. Some cases of conjunctivitis take a long time to resolve completely.

Virson gel is an antiviral ointment, if the doctor is suspecting herpes infection, then it is given. However this is an infection of the cornea (black part of eye). Doctor needs to examine you to review response. Would advise physical consultation with a cornea specialist in your city.

Hello, gatiquin p and lubrex are the usual medications for the usual bacterial conjunctivitis, which despite medications, can take 10-14 days to resolve. Virson gel is specifically used in viral conjunctivitis like herpes simplex viral conjunctivitis. If you have viral infection, then blurry vision is common and burning is also common (due to the preservatives present in the gel). Advice: immediate ophthalmologist consultation in person if not done already. If done, then close follow up with that doctor. Viral conjunctivitis can cause scarring and permanent blurred vision if not treated properly.

It takes some time for the redness to disappear, regarding blurry vision some people develop small white spots on cornea (spk) after viral conjunctivitis. Consult your nearest ophthalmologist, they will evaluate fully and advise accordingly.
