It is good to hear that your depression is resolved. It is ideal to take the antidepressant medicine mirtaz for 1 year to reduce the risk of relapse. The other medications ambulax and zapiz can be weaned off. You would definitely find to helpful with counselling. Please consult for further help.

If it was the first episode then you can be off medications now. I believe your doctor is slowly tapering your medications. You are maintaining well is a good sign. From 22.5 mg he will decrease to 15 gm, then 7 mg, then stop. Tapering can be done every 15 days to 1 month depending on your response. If you hv any other query feel free to ask.

Dear Poonam, Congratulations for defeating depression. How long will be the treatment - depends of the diagnosis of depression. Very few depressions need long term antidepressant. Usually about 6 months of mirtaz and gradual reduction of dose and stopping will be done by your doctor. Please discuss with her/him.

Good day Friend. Nice to hear your recovery from depression. Well done. Consult your treating doctor who knows your history on the reduction or stopping of medication. To retain this improvement and to avoid or to handle such emotional problems in future, you need to adopt few alternative solutions in parallel. Ex, make few changes in your lifestyle routine, modify your diet, learn and practice relaxation techniques or meditation or yoga, improve your relationship with family and friends, learn some art or passion to spend quality time etc. Be positive. You will be alright soon. Reach me online for any further assistance.

Ideally, for the first episode of the disease - 9-12 months course of medication is necessary after you are symptom-free. But that depends on other symptoms you had (co-morbidities), adherence to treatment etc.
